Winter weddings can sometimes be difficult to shoot for a photography and film making team. Besides the potential for frigid conditions in the New York City and New Jersey areas, the amount of available light during the day is barely manageable (unless you’re an expert of lighting, of course).
On Jen & Chris’ wedding day, we had less than an hour to travel from Our Lady of Fatima church in Elizabeth to Lambert Castle in Paterson, NJ before we ran out of daylight. This commute in normal traffic would take just over thirty minutes. On this particular Friday afternoon, it took us closer to an hour.
To make a long story short, we made it work as we always do. No matter the situation, the team always manages to make the most out of any wedding day no matter the roadblocks. Below are some of our favorite images from Jen & Chris’ wedding.
Groom getting ready in North Bergen
Chris got ready with his groomsmen and parents at their home in North Bergen.
Bridal preparations in Elizabeth
Jenny prepared for her ceremony at her home in Elizabeth alongside her bridesmaids, her mother, and close relatives.
Wedding ceremony and full catholic mass
Jen & Chris’ wedding ceremony took place at Our Lady of Fatima Church in Elizabeth.
Photo session at Lambert Castle
The commute was tough, but we worked out a quick session with the bridal party and got a couple of gorgeous wide angles of our bride and groom in front of Lambert Castle in Paterson.
Westmount Country Club reception
The wedding reception was set at the beautiful Westmount Country Club. The venue was beautiful and the staff was excellent the entire night. Jen & Chris danced to Grow Old by Florida Georgia Line.
The team is extremely pleased at how well the day went. Our ability to manage less daylight is only improving. We will continue to keep the bar high no matter what the situation is on any given wedding day. Thanks to Jen, Chris, their families and friends for helping make this wedding another great experience for us.
Thank you to all of the vendors involved! I would love to hear from you and add you to this post to acknowledge all contributors to this fantastic wedding!
